Chile, according to @tmz_tv, Earl Thomas and his wife Nina Thomas were involved in a dispute. The football star was reportedly held at gunpoint, on April 13th.
TMZ also alleges that upon the cop’s arrival, “we observed that a black female wearing an orange sweater with a knife in her hand, later identified as Nina Thomas, was chasing a shirtless black male, later identified as Earl Thomas, with a pistol in his hand around a vehicle.” Cops drew their weapons and ordered both to the ground, and they complied without incident.
According to TMZ, Nina says Earl left with Seth Thomas (his brother), after a dispute. She then used his Snapchat account to track his location to a nearby Airbnb rental home. Once she found out where he was, she and two of her friends showed up at the property. That is when they found Earl and Seth naked in bed with other women.
Nina claims she grabbed the 9mm Berreta to scare Thomas.
According to reports, Nina admitted to pulling out the gun and put it to Earl’s head — she allegedly said “that she took out the magazine thinking that the gun could not fire.” But cops reportedly say she was “unaware that the gun had a round in the chamber.”
There’s also said to be footage of the incident and it shows Nina punching Earl in the nose, just before it ends. Eventually Earl is said to have been able to take the gun away from his wife. The report is said to suggest that one of Nina’s friends was carrying a knife and swinging it aggressively.
Nina was ultimately booked for for burglary of a residence with intent to commit aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family violence.
Since the report surfaced tonight, Earl and Nina have both released separate statements. Stating it’s “not anybody’s businesses and they’re asking for “prayers and privacy.”
Nina also alleges she was “mistreated by the Austin Police Department” and they failed to properly investigate the situation.
