Christmas came a little early for Draymond Green this year as the basketball player welcomed his son, Draymond Jamal Green, into the world earlier this week.
Unfortunately he was physically not there in person to witness the birth, but he was able to watch it all via FaceTime as he missed his game to travel to be by his family’s side.
According to The Mercury News, before his game against the Detroit Pistons on Friday he talked to reporters about the birth of his son.
He said, “Tried to get out of New York as fast as I could. But the baby came out before I took off. Thank God for technology. I saw the entire thing on FaceTime and then I was able to get there and spend the entire day with them yesterday.”
He continued, “I was sitting on the plane yelling. People thought I was crazy. It was a surreal experience. I could only imagine how it was to be there in person. You just watch this whole baby come out of nowhere. Crazy.”
He would go on talk about his appreciation for women and his decision to return to his team to play.
