The nominees for the 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards were released on Wednesday and some of hip-hop’s biggest names will be going head to head as they’re recognized for releasing some of the hottest music.
Drake is in the lead as he walks away with a total of 11 nominations. This year he released his fifth studio album “Scorpion,” and the nominations reflect the success of the project. Some of his nominations include, “Album of the Year,” “Lyricist of the Year,” “MVP of the Year,” and “Single of the Year.”
Other artists to walk away with multiple nominations include, Childish Gambino with six nominations and Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott who are tied with five nominations.
The 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards take place at the Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater on October 6th and will air on BET October 16th.
