Drake Delays The Release Of His Upcoming “Certified Lover Boy” Album

It seems like fans have been waiting forever for Drake’s upcoming sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy,” to drop ever since he announced it last October. When it almost seemed as if the album was dropping this month on the 21st due to a tweet from singer Charlie Puth, Drake has shut down all claims and announced the album is being delayed.

In a lengthy post, Drake shared on his Instagram page detailing his journey to heal after his knee injury last year. He wrote,” I was planning to release my album this month, but between surgery and rehab, my energy has been dedicated to recovery.”

He continued, “I’m blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album, but ‘Certified Lover Boy’ (CLB) won’t be dropping in January. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.”

Drake has continued to keep his fans updated through his healing process. We recently reported his update in December when he shared a video of him walking on Instagram. He captioned the video, “CONFIDENT STEPS at 5 WEEKS.”

Many Roommates left comments and were mostly understanding of Drake delaying the album. One commented they were fine with the delay, as long as Drake gives fans some extra songs on the album as reparations. Another felt that Drake was giving excuses and commented, “Surgery? I saw Boosie performing fresh out of surgery, and 2 Chainz did a whole tour. You can’t give the people an album from your cozy studios??? Got light-skinned folk looking bad. The nerve of this man damn.”

Last year he released the highly charting song, “Laugh Now, Cry Later,” featuring Lil Durk, which has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Song. The single has spent 23 weeks on the Billboard charts.

Either way, whenever “Certified Lover Boy” drops, we know it’s going to be full of bangers!
