Donald Trump and the Republicans are reportedly taking shots at Kamala Harris as murmurs intense advocating for the VP to replace President Biden on the Democratic ticket.
The Associated Press reports the party is making attacks tinged with racist and misogynist undertones.
Republicans reportedly argue that a vote to reelect Joe is really a vote for Kamala. After Biden’s questionable performance at last week’s presidential debate, some Democrats began calling for him to step down. Harris replacing Biden was once dismissed as a far-right conspiracy. However, many Republicans and Donald Trump believe this is true.
Trump and his allies have been rolling out new attack lines against Harris, insulting her abilities, painting her as Biden’s chief enabler, and accusing her of being part of a coverup of his health. The former president reportedly took to his Truth Social site on Independence Day (July 4) to single Harris out. He described her as his “potentially new Democrat Challenger” and gave her the new nickname: “Laffin’ Kamala Harris.”
“She did poorly in the Democrat Nominating process, starting out at Number Two and ending up defeated and dropping out, even before getting to Iowa, but that doesn’t mean she’s not a ‘highly talented’ politician! Just ask her Mentor, the Great Willie Brown of San Fransico,” Donald wrote. Harris reportedly dated Brown in the mid-1900s.
