Donald Trump Goes Off On Reporter During White House’s Press Briefing

As the coronavirus continues to spread there have been daily updates provided by the White House as many changes in our everyday lives have been made.

During Friday’s press briefing, Donald Trump took the time to go in on a reporter that asked him what message he had for the people who are currently scared of the virus.

According to CNN, the reporter was NBC News reporter Peter Alexander. He had asked Trump if he had been giving Americans “false hope” by publicizing unproven coronavirus drugs. He then proceeded to ask Trump if he had a message for those who are currently scared by the pandemic.

Trump snapped back and said, “I say that you are a terrible reporter, that’s what I say.”

He continued, “You’re doing sensationalism and the same with NBC and Comcast. I don’t call it Comcast. I call it ‘Con-Cast.’ Let me just tell you something, that’s really bad reporting. And you ought to get back to reporting instead of sensationalism.”

Alexander looked appalled by Trump’s words as he moved on to the next reporter.

Alexander then took to Twitter to reflect on the moment, “I offered both Pres Trump and VP Pence an opportunity to reassure Americans. Simple question: ‘What do you say to Americans who are scared?’ Trump, to me: ‘I say, you’re a terrible reporter.’ Pence, an hour later: “Don’t be afraid. Be vigilant.”

Roommates, what are your thoughts about the exchange between Trump and Alexander?
