Doja Cat revealed she is bidding farewell to her Instagram account because of how she is “treated” by users.
Page Six reports, the Grammy-winner has been having “f**ked up thoughts.”
Doja — born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamin — took to Instagram to inform her followers.
“Hey i’m gonna deactivate because i’m not really feeling this anymore,” she wrote in the post on Saturday.
Doja continued, “You guys take care of yourselves. I like coming here to find inspo and see people being creative but I just feel like this is getting to be too much.”
She has since deleted the messages along with her profile.
The 28-year-old said she is effected by “the way i’m spoken to to on here and treated.”
The “Paint the Town Red” rapper advised her followers to, “Please watch how you talk to and about people on the internet. Bye.”
And just like that, she vanished.
Celebrities disappearing from social media to preserve their mental health is nothing new. Megan The Stallion has taken a couple of stints away from popular social apps after citing online harassment.
Clearly, Doja doesn’t mind doing the same.
The ‘Say So’ singer seems to have a love-hate relationship with her fans. In July 2023, they had a little beef over the moniker used to represent her fanbase. They refer to themselves as “Kittenz.”
