It is the first day of April, and many of us are skeptical about many things because we aren’t too sure what is real, and what is fake. However, one person to start off the day with a joke is none other than the legendary DJ Quik.
On Thursday, he uploaded a message to his Instagram story that read, “I’m on my way to the hospital. Someone just shot into my car 7-10 times on the freeway. I got hit twice. Pray for me.”
Social media instantly filled with prayers and well wishes as many people expressed that their hopes that he was okay.”
Not too long after the message started to spread, Quik went back to his story and said, “Oh yeah…APRIL FOOL.”
He followed up with a video and added, “April Fools Day, now ya’ll gotta top that! I got ya’ll, that was a good one. Damn I impressed myself with that. Happy April Fools Day, love ya’ll…I’m good.”
Although he joked about the matter, not too many people were laughing as they expressed that they were really concerned for him.
One person said, “Dj Quik is toooo much of an LA legend to be playing games like that???”
Nonetheless, we are glad to hear that he is okay and not injured.
