“Another one,” (DJ Khaled voice!) Roommates always expect the unexpected when DJ Khaled drops a new album. When he’s in album mode, we know he will give us some of the best in the industry from rappers, singers, you name it, he has them in his arsenal. He has been building up anticipation for his new album, “Khaled Khaled,” throughout Instagram by showing pictures and videos of the artist he’s working with and even sharing personal messages from other producers like Timbaland, which you can see below.
Tonight all his hard work paid off because after the album launched, he quickly becoming a trending topic on Twitter as fans talked about some of their favorite tracks. One of which came from none other than hip-hop icons Nas and JayZ. After ending their long-standing beef, it’s been a while since we heard a track from the two. The last time was in 2018 on the song “Regulate,” from Nas’ album “Nasir.” Nas and Jay Z hopped on the track for “Sorry not sorry,” which also features James Fauntleroy and Harmonies by the Hive.
Not only did fans hear the song, but they also got a chance to see the music video for the song, which was directed by the one and only Hype Williams. Whenever Hype is behind the camera, you already know the visuals will not disappoint! “Sorry, not sorry” has only been out for an hour, and it already has over 100K views on YouTube.
That’s not the only track folks are talking about from the album. Cardi B also trended as she went live on Instagram earlier last night and talked about the writing process for the song “Big Paper.” Cardi revealed that she wrote her lyrics independently and didn’t use her writing team this go around.
Roomies, what do yall think about the album so far?
