DJ Akademiks is speaking out following Tory Lanez’s arrest. He alleges that the information he received about the DNA on the gun that shot Megan Thee Stallion was provided by Meg’s management company, Roc Nation. In February, Akademiks and Megan got into it on social media after she called him out for spreading false narratives. In a now-deleted tweet, Akademiks claimed Tory’s DNA was not found on the gun Meg was shot with in July 2020.
Although it’s clear Akademik’s tweet from today stating the information coming from Roc Nation was sarcasm, Tory’s lawyer Shawn Holley spoke out about Akademiks allegations. “If he had seen this document, he presumably would have got it right,” she argued. The Lawyer also called the tweets “chatter” in “a medium that is almost inherently unreliable.”
Shawn wasn’t done there. She also reported what was discovered in court about the DNA. In a statement referring to her client born, Daystar Peterson, she said, “In court, the DNA reports show that there were 4 (DNA) contributors on the handgun, thereby making the finding inconclusive as to whether Mr. Peterson’s DNA was on the gun.”
She continued,” And with respect to the gun’s magazine, Mr. Peterson was excluded as a contributor. In other words, his DNA was not on the magazine.” She also spoke about Tory being arrested, stating, “The DA requested that Mr. Peterson’s bail be revoked or, in the alternative, that it be increased to $5 million. We are pleased that the court rejected those outrageous requests.
As we reported earlier, Tory posted the 350,000 bail issued by a judge earlier. He hasn’t been released but is reported he will be out shortly. Megan hasn’t spoken out about today’s discovery in court but we will keep you posted if she does!
