#Diddy, who now goes by ‘Love’ or ‘Brother Love’ recently sat down with @GQ where he discussed what has kept him going for all of these years. He said that he wanted to be “an authentic, unapologetic warrior for black culture and the culture of the street and how it moves,” adding that he wanted “to change the narrative of the black race.”
Next, the mogul revealed that he is working on an app that will do alladat plus some! It’s not finished yet nor does it have a name, but Love says that it will allow us to zero-in on a neighborhood and help us to locate black-owned businesses. “This is not about taking away from any other community,” he said. “We’ll still go to Chinatown. We’ll still buy Gucci! But, the application will make it possible for us to have an economic community. It’s about blacks gaining economic power.”
Love went on to explain that he and Jay-Z are working on the project together. They both believe that the way to keep Black people progressing is to make a lot of money and then pour it back into the communities. “I don’t believe in passiveness,” Love said. “At some point there has to be some kind of fight. I feel like we’ve done a lot of marching. It’s time to start charging.”
He later added, “We’re into psychological warfare. The difference is, we’re not trying to hurt nobody.”
