Diddy is taking a moment to give Yung Miami and Travis Scott their flowers, and the mogul went as far as to compare the City Girls rapper to Oprah Winfrey!
The “Last Night” artist shared his commentary during a September sit-down with Billboard, as he was asked to dish on which hip hop stars are the next generation of billionaires.
After taking a moment to say the late Nipsey Hussle was a “young Puff version,” Diddy added, “One person that I can say right now is Travis Scott.”
“I can relate to how he’s diversifying his portfolio and really understanding how to take it to the next level.”
Not stopping with the “TELEKINESIS” rapper, Diddy also threw Yung Miami into the mix, explaining that — on account of the “endless possibilities” at her disposal — she truly “reminds [him] of Oprah.”
“I also think Yung Miami from the City Girls. She reminds me of Oprah with the endless possibilities that she has as far as her clothing line, television shows, performances, live podcasts. I really respect both of their hustles and see them being able to break through.”
Beneath The Shade Room‘s upload on the matter, people chimed in and reacted to Diddy’s proclamation.
One Roomie going by @cornellrsl responded by penning, “Diddy saying anything now lol.”
Continuing to brush Diddy off, @nattiibuddy wrote, “Lol the pum pum got him saying all kinds of foolishness.”
Similarly, @omoakin stated, “Yung Miami and Oprah should not be in the same sentence.”
Meanwhile, @callmepocahontas___ pushed back and said the proclamation wasn’t a “stretch.”
“Not a stretch to me! S**t, your partner should speak and think highly of you!”
As for @chefbaigemarie, she made it clear that Diddy’s opinion was much more valuable than the haters’.
“This is a billionaire giving his insight on who he think is next in line…. I mean he does have the right to say that given he’s a billionaire and none of you in these comments are…. I love when mofos sleep on the underdog…. Just cause you don’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening!”
Additionally, we should add that Diddy’s declaration about Yung Miami reminding him of Oprah comes about a year after she proclaimed, “I want to be the Black Oprah.”
As The Shade Room reported, the Caresha Please star shared the statement during an interview with XXL, and she later doubled down on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Do you agree with Diddy’s assertion, Roomies?
