Roommates, as the music world continues to mourn the recent passing of former Bad Boy rapper Black Rob, many were waiting for the words from his former boss, Diddy—and he just posted a heartfelt tribute. Taking to Instagram, Diddy posted a photo of himself and Black Rob along with an emotional sentiment saying how much Rob will be “missed.”
Just a week after the hip hop world lost the legendary DMX, fellow New York rapper Black Rob also recently passed away—and the condolences and tributes from celebrities who knew him poured in on social media.
As soon as news of Black Rob’s death began to spread, fans were looking for what Diddy would say regarding Black Rob’s death, as he signed him in 2000 to his Bad Boy record label and the two collaborated on several songs.
Diddy posted the following to Instagram to honor Black Rob’s memory:
“Rest in power King @therealblackrob! As I listen to your records today there’s one thing that they all have in common! You have made millions of people all over the world feel good and dance! You are one of a kind! GOD BLESS! 🙏🏿 Love. 🖤💫✨ You will be truly missed!!!!”
As we previously reported, Black Rob has passed away at the age of 51, which was confirmed by rapper Mark Curry, who has been giving updates on Black Rob’s condition since he was filmed in a local hospital earlier this month.
Curry announced that Black Rob had sadly passed away due to kidney failure. In the video, he also said that he wanted Rob’s children to get in contact with him, presumably to help in any way he can.
