Roommates, throughout the years, Sean “Diddy” Combs has gone through a variety of name changes…and he has just added another. Diddy recently took to social media to share the news that his middle name has been legally changed to “Love.”
While sharing a photo of his Florida driver’s license on Instagram, Diddy made it clear to point out that after years of flirting with changing his name to “Love” or “Brother Love,” he officially went through with it. He is now legally known as Sean “Love” Combs, as he ushers in a brand new era for himself.
He captioned the post, writing “Look what I just got in the mail today. IT’S OFFICIAL!!! WELCOME TO THE LOVE ERA.” Shortly after, he posted a video and offered a little more clarity into his new name:
“I’m just not who I am before. I’m something different. So, my new name is Love aka Brother Love. I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puff Daddy, or any of my other monikers but Love or Brother Love.”
Meanwhile, it’s been a few weeks since Black Rob, who was signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Record label, sadly passed away, but reportedly Diddy’s Revolt network will be livestreaming the memorial service—and Diddy is also rumored to be paying for all the expenses.
As we previously reported, Diddy spoke about the passing of Black Rob in a heartfelt post on Instagram. “Rest in power King @therealblackrob! As I listen to your records today there’s one thing that they all have in common! You have made millions of people all over the world feel good and dance! You are one of a kind! GOD BLESS! Love. You will be truly missed,” he wrote.
