As many of you know there has been a lot of talk about LaVar Ball’s last appearance on ESPN, when he appeared on “First Take.” As many of you know, some people accused LaVar of making an inappropriate comment towards Molly Qerim after she asked him to switch gears.
However, there were also many people who thought his response to her wasn’t inappropriate, and everything was being blown out of proportion. Nonetheless, ESPN took the extra step to band LaVar from their platform.
Now, Dez Bryant is speaking out and showing his support for LaVar.
Yesterday, the wide receiver took to social media to voice his opinion. He tagged Molly on Twitter and said, “I’m late but I just seen the espn video of you and lavar ball…just being real…you owe that man an apology straight up.”
He continued, “I didn’t even sense foul play from him… you dramatically overreacted.. mature women like Doris Burke need those jobs.”
As we previously reported, following the incident, a spokesperson for LaVar released a statement on his behalf and said he had no bad intentions behind his comment.
Over the weekend, LaVar was asked about his thoughts on being banned from ESPN’s platforms. He definitely seemed unbothered by their decision and continued to argue his point that his comment was not inappropriate.
Check out what he had to say below:
