It looks like DeMarcus Cousins is taking his talents from New Orleans to Golden State.
According to ESPN, Cousins agreed to a one-year, $5.3 million deal with the current NBA champs on Monday. Sources revealed that he had narrowed his choices down between Golden State and Boston before making his decision.
Cousins, who is currently recovering from a torn Achilles injury is reportedly hoping to return to the court some time in December or January.
The news of Cousins joining the team was quickly met with reactions from his new teammates, Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant.
ESPN reports “ Cousins averaged 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists and a 35.4 percent 3-point shooting average last season in 48 games with the Pelicans.”
If you all remember, back in 2017 Cousins found out he was traded to the Pelicans from the Kings while doing press during All-Star weekend.
