Coi Leray is definitely making her mark on the music industry and sis has been working! Her most recent song, “No More Parties”, became a hit on TikTok and is now being heard everywhere.
Initially, the song sparked fans’ interest after Coi seemingly called out her father for being absent in her life, but after a few plays, people couldn’t get enough of hearing her voice. Some even began to point out that she has a similar sound to Dej Loaf.
We aren’t sure whether or not the comparison is a bad thing, but it’s clear that Coi’s goal is to have a sound that’s all her own, as she took to Twitter saying, “Coi Leray sounds like Coi Leray.”
Dej Loaf stepped into the conversation, congratulation Coi on all of her success.
“Well I sholl wish my folks stop hitting me about it,” Dej said with a laughing emoji. “Pissing me and my homegirls off! Congrats tho Coi.”
Dej Loaf had one of the most unique sounds when she stepped on the music scene, but fans definitely have differing opinions about the Coi Leray comparison.
“They don’t sound nothing alike Chile, people be reaching,” one commenter wrote.
“It feels like an off brand Dej though,” another fan said.
Regardless, Coi’s sound seems to be liked amongst various crowds. She was even posted up in the studio with a few artists this week including G Herbo and Yung Bleu.
