Deiondra Sanders is adamant that her baby boy with singer Jacquees will not be a Junior — and she’s explaining why.
In a vlog posted to the expectant mom’s YouTube channel, she explains to her baby daddy that their son will also carry her last name because she’s not married.
In the video, the couple chatted about the new terms for a bet they had on the baby’s gender. As previously reported by The Shade Room, the pair had an “explosive” gender reveal earlier this month. Originally, the person who guessed the gender wrong would have to jump in the pool. However, Sanders revealed that since she had just had surgery, they had to change the terms.
Deiondra suggested if she won the bet, the first-time dad would have to give her massages 4 times per week. Jacquees responded, “My f****** hands gone fall off.” After a bit of coaxing from Deiondra, he finally agreed and revealed his winning terms.
“If he’s a boy, his name is Junior,” Jacquees stated.
Sanders shut his idea down with the quickness.
“I’m not agreeing to that. I’m sorry,” she said before adding, “It technically can’t be a Junior… ‘Sanders-Broadnax’ is not a Junior.”
Jacquees tried to convince her to see things his way, but the soon-to-be mom’s mind was made up.
“That’s not going to happen because I’m not married. So my last name is going as well,” Deiondra stated.
“Soo yall can have a baby with somebody while not being married, but the baby taking his father’s last name is where yall draw the line.???? Okkk,” @rudegirlririi wrote.
On Friday, May 24, Sanders stepped into The Shade Room’s comment section to explain her stance further.
“What I SAID was my last name will going in our childs name because I am not married and still use my last name,” she wrote. “Que has also worked very hard for his own legacy and of course his son will have his last name also. 💙”
Roomies, do you agree with Sanders? Or do you think the couple should name their child as Jacquee’s junior?
