NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders is continuing his legacy as the new head football coach at Jackson State University. Just this morning, JSU announced that Deion would be in charge of the Tigers, and he plans to take them to victory.
During Prime Time’s big time pep rally at JSU’s campus where it was announced Deion would be head coach, Deion kept the crowd hype promising, “We going to win–We going to look good while we win. We going to have a good time while we win. And we going to do this professionally.”
Yassss, Deion knows how to keep things interesting hunny! If anybody knows how to win it would be Deion, seeing how he is a 2x Super Bowl Champion, 8x Pro Bowl champion, AND a 6x First-team-All-Pro. JSU may just be undefeatable when they have an NFL legend as the H.C.I.C (Head Coach In Charge)!
According to WLBT, “Sanders visited the Jackson area back in August when he and Trinity Christian narrowly lost to MRA to open up the 2020 high school football season. It was during that trip that Sanders first came in contact with [Ashley] Robinson around the same time that JSU announced that it would not be renewing the contract of now-former head coach John Hendrick.”
In September, the discussions centering around Deion as the new head coach was finalized with a deal between both parties, however, the terms of the deal have not been disclosed yet, according to WLBT.
Deion announced on his new podcast “21st & Prime,” that “God called me to Jackson State.” The union between Deion and JSU appears destined, and we are all here for it.
As noted by ESPN, “I am truly blessed to be the 21st Head football coach of Jackson State University,” Sanders said in the school’s statement Monday. “It’s my desire to continue this storied tradition and history of JSU and prayerfully bring more national recognition to the athletes, the university, the Sonic Boom of the South, and HBCUs in general.”
Deion is known for being charismatic, entertaining, and his overall dynamic when it comes to football. As I visualize Deion in the seat as new head coach, I foresee him doing his signature dance moves as one of his players score a touchdown. Are y’all here for this Roommates?
