Decatur Popeyes Has Business License Revoked Due To Numerous Health Violations

TSR Foodies: The health department is out, and checking on restaurants as many places are reopening for indoor dining. Y’all might want to check the ratings fro some of your favorite spots, Roomies, because this Popeyes just got its business license revoked.

According to ABC 20 News, a Decatur Popeyes is not about to be serving up any chicken anytime soon after the health department food numerous violations throughout the location. a report from the Macon County Health Department details more than five violations in the store.

Some of the violations include raw chicken kept at unsafe temperatures, employees not washing their hands properly, house fly and ran fly activity, pink and black organic matter found in the ice dispenser at the beverage station, and non-potable water from ice buildup dripping into exposed food.

An employee at the location reportedly said the store manager quit and the district manager was brought in to fix issues, but it looks like things were not up to health department standards. The employee also said the restaurant has various mechanical issues.

The restaurant is currently waiting for a letter from the Macon County Health Department to reopen.
