Here’s What Led To DUI Case Against DaniLeigh
As previously reported, local police arrested the ‘Easy’ singer in Miami Beach on May 30, 2023.
She had reportedly struck a moped and the motorist while driving under the influence of alcohol. Court records at the time showed a charge related to leaving the crime scene after causing serious bodily injury, per XXL. She posted a $1,000 surety bond that same day.
Witnesses reportedly told police DaniLeigh was “swerving in and out of traffic” at high speeds when she collided with the moped. She reportedly dragged the scooter for about “a block.”
She later failed a field sobriety test and a Breathalyzer test issued by an officer flagged down by a witness, per TMZ. The officer’s incident report alleged Dani smelled of alcohol during the traffic stop. She reportedly blew 0.145 and 0.148, which is nearly twice Florida’s legal limit of 0.8% blood alcohol content for drivers over 21.
According to XXL and TMZ, the motorist was transported to a local hospital and later diagnosed with a kidney laceration and spinal fracture. There are no public updates about the motorist’s health conditions following the incident.
DaniLeigh has largely maintained a low profile since the incident. Most recently, she popped out with her daughter, Valour, to celebrate the Grammy nomination of Victoria Monét’s two-year-old daughter Hazel.
