Whew! More than two years after the bowling alley brawl took over the internet, DaniLeigh’s brother is still trying to get his lick back! Brandon Bills has reportedly filed an update in his lawsuit against DaBaby, revealing how much money he’s seeking.
Here’s The Update On Brandon Bills’ Lawsuit Against DaBaby
Note that this isn’t the first we’ve heard of DaniLeigh’s brother suing the father of his niece. Bills filed a civil lawsuit against the rapper the same month as the February 2022 brawl. At the time, TMZ exclusively reported that Bills claimed to suffer physical and psychological damage, but the outlet didn’t specify the amount of money Brandon was seeking.
Now, In Touch Weekly reportedly obtained court documents that explain Brandon’s $4 million request. Apparently, he wants $2 million in damages and another $2 million in special damages. He’s insisting that he suffered “severe injuries, psychological damage, and medical bills” after the fight, per In Touch.
Additionally, Bills maintains that DaBaby attacked him at the Southern California establishment for “no reason.”
DaniLeigh’s brother has reportedly struggled with serving the rapper with the lawsuit. According to Radar Online, in April, he petitioned the court to allow him to post an advertisement in a local newspaper as a way to inform Baby of the lawsuit.
This was meant to be an alternative to personally serving DaBaby with the lawsuit after failed attempts. Radar reported that Brandon Bills has been trying to serve DaBaby since July 2023. Despite reportedly hiring a process server, trying addresses in North Carolina and California, and hiring a private investigator, the lawsuit still hasn’t ended up in Baby’s hands.
According to In Touch Weekly’s update, a judge has now signed off on Brandon’s request to take out a local newspaper ad.
The Shade Room contacted Brandon Bills for comment on this reported update but has yet to hear back. Additionally, DaBaby has not publicly responded to the pending lawsuit.
Recap Of The Bowling Alley Brawl & How Brandon Bills, His Sister & The Rapper Reacted Afterward
Video from the February 2022 incident showed DaBaby seemingly throwing the first punch at Brandon Bills after an inaudible verbal exchange. Bills stumbled from the impact, and Baby and his entourage proceeded to kick and punch Bradon in the bowling alley’s slippery lanes. At one point, a man yanked on Bills’ hair and slammed his head and body against the lanes.
Meanwhile, days after the brawl, DaBaby told paparazzi that the altercation was “self-defense.” Adding, “You shouldn’t run around threatening people.”
In the weeks leading up to the bowling alley altercation, Bills took to social media on several occasions to call out DaBaby. That all started after the rapper live-streamed heated exchanges between him and DaniLeigh in November 2021. At the time, he ultimately booted her and their infant from his home.

Following the bowling alley confrontation, DaniLeigh took to social media to blast her daughter’s father, calling the situation “lame and soooo sad.” Shortly afterward, she temporarily deleted her Instagram account
Corbin Bowl in Topanga, California, subsequently banned Baby from their establishment and labeled him the aggressor in the situation. Additionally, it handed over the security footage to local police.
The Los Angeles Police Department launched an investigation into the incident and sought to charge Baby with “assault with a deadly weapon.” However, the case fell flat when Bills allegedly stopped cooperating.
In an interview in March 2022, Baby doubled down on his self-defense claims and added that DaniLeigh’s brother’s threats should’ve been halted by her side.
