Roommates, when DaBaby’s rap career popped off, it was his unique flow that set him apart from other rappers in the industry. It seems like just yesterday we started getting his fire visuals and lit bars, and he’s already making plans to move on to bigger and better things.
While speaking with XXL, DaBaby revealed that he plans to retire from rapping in five years so he can make time to run his record label Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment.
“Five years, imma be retired in five years,” he said. “I won’t be rapping in five years, I’ll be creating other superstars.”
DaBaby founded Billion Dollar Baby Ent. in January 2019 and the label currently has five artists under its belt including KayyKilo, Wison, Rich Dunk, DJ K.i.D, and Stunna 4 Vegas. Baby has big plans for his label and artists, saying Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment is “definitely gonna be like one of the hottest labels in the game” in five years.
Beyond the music, DaBaby said one of the biggest things he wants to accomplish is seeing himself on the big screen, specifically, in his own biopic!
“A biopic. That’s what Gotta do first. I’ll do a biopic first then I’ll do other movies,” DaBaby said. “I’ve already been sent scripts. Yeah, I would fo’sho,” he said in reference to playing himself. “From a younger age, then all the way up until the present time. I’ll take it there. I gotta crazy story. My story’s crazy and it keeps getting crazier. I seen it all. That’s gonna be a good one.”
