Break up to make up seems like that’s the forever trend with celebrity couples. If it’s one thing we can guarantee, it’s couples will keep you in their business by unfollowing, making a public announcement that they’re no longer together, being spotted together, and refollowing each other.
In this case, we’re talking about DaBaby and DaniLeigh. The former couple publicly broke up and unfollowed each other earlier this year in July after being together for nearly 5 months. The “Bop” rapper and his former boo appear to be back on good terms.
Both have followed each other on Instagram again, and DaBaby even mentioned Dani on his new EP “My Brother’s Keeper (Long Live G).” The EP honors his late brother, Glenn Johnson, who was 34 years old and passed away from suicide this month.
In the song “8 Figures,” DaBaby raps, ‘I wanna kill somethin’ too, G (Oh, yeah), Had to call my Dominican boo thing (She), Call me down, I’m on FaceTime, a movie (Move), Shot me down on the page, ni**as goofy.” It’s pretty obvious that he is referring to DaniLeigh, who has a song titled “Dominican Mami.”
Things between the pair have always caused a lot of attention, not only because of the back and forth but because of DaBaby’s daughter’s mother, MeMe. Meme and DaniLeigh have been subtweeting each other since early March. Meme tweeted, “Sis got me blocked, but word keeps getting back to me .. so hopefully the energy is the same in real life.” Then Dani responded, calling her “obsessed,” and tweeted, “go get a job,” and “U so on me… Hop offfffff.”
As of right now, it’s unclear where the two of them currently stand.
