Love her or her or hate her, CupcakKe’s new song “How to Rob (Remix)” is all people could talk about today.
The Chicago rapper, who is known for hyper-sexualized persona and music, dissed more than 20 rappers in her new song that pays homage to 50 Cent’s debut single “How to Rob.”
Her song has been so polarizing, with people on one end praising her for keeping the true essence of hip hop alive while those on the other end feel it’s nothing more than a publicity stunt, an attempt to call out rappers deemed more famous than her.
Regardless of what others think, CupcakKe actually opened the song with the words, “It’s all motherf***in’ love, don’t take s**t personal,” suggesting the song is nothing more than her art and expression.
People were impressed by her lyricism, mainly the way she used her wit to write clever rhymes about some of today’s most top-billing artists.
CupcakKe’s song took shots at a number of artists including Megan Thee Stallion, City Girls, Lil Durk, Doja Cat, Lizzo, DaBaby, Lil Baby, Migos, Tekashi 69, Tory Lanez, Sukihana, G Herbo, Mulatto, Dream Doll and Flo Milli among others.
Some of her more memorable lines included, “Is that Tory Lanez or is that Too Short?” and “City Girls leakin’ like a PERIOD when I pistol whip them out their Birkin.”
Of the people she named, few responded to the track. Sukihana simply responded “I wish a knock kneed hoe would rob me.”
Bobby Lytes, who actually wasn’t one of the artists named in the song, also gave his two cents on CupcakKe’s track.
She also received criticism online for her lines where she referenced Meg’s shooting and Lizzo’s weight.
