The summer is quickly coming to an end and before you know it some of our favorite television shows will return for the fall lineup. One show many people are excited to see is “Empire” as they enter their third season.
According to Deadline, the shows executive producer Ilene Chaiken acknowledged that there could be a spin-off from the hit series. Yesterday while speaking at the Television Critics Association she said, “There’s a good chance there will be a spinoff.”
During a Q&A about the upcoming season she declined to give more details but she continued to keep everyone guessing. “The show offers so many opportunities. Potential spinoffs with these characters- sure!”
For the past two seasons viewers have witnessed the roller coaster ride between Cookie and Lucious Lyon, so a separate series on these two could possibly be dope.
Recently it was announced that Mariah Carey will make her Empire debut, and Taraji expressed her excitement. She said, “She’s fabulous; I wish I could wear a leotard like that. What she brings to the music industry she brought to the show. I’m glad Mariah spent time with little old us.”
