Concert Promoter Sues Da Baby For Alleged Beat Down In Miami (Update)

Last month, Da Baby and his team got caught up in an incident with a promoter after he was reportedly not paid the agreed amount for an event. Now it looks like that promoter is suing him, and his team for the incident.

According to the legal documents obtained by TMZ, Kenneth Carey is suing for battery, breach of contract, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, amongst other things. He is reportedly seeking damages and other costs well above $6 million.

Kenneth alleges that Da Baby not only illegally battered him but also turned his back on a deal they’d struck to host an event.

In the documents, Kenneth claims that it was agreed that Da Baby would host a party where Stunna 4 Vegas was already booked to perform. He claims that they agreed that he would pay $20k and no more than that.

He also claims that when Da Baby and his team arrived in Miami, he booked their hotels and cars for them through a rental company. However, he alleges that one of the cars was returned damaged. On the day that Kenneth was supposed to pay Da Baby, he says he was asked for an additional $10k on the spot to cover the damage to the car, which was reportedly billed to Da Baby and his team.

Kenneth claims that Da Baby insisted it was the least that he (Kenneth) could do, seeing as how he agreed to do the hosting for cheaper than he normally charges. He continued to say that he declined to pay an additional $10k, and that’s when the alleged beat down took place.

As we previously reported, he claims that his phone, money and credit card was taken and he was doused in apple juice. He also says that Da Baby nor Stunna 4 Vegas showed up to the event.

As you all may remember, Da Baby was arrested following the incident, and once he was released, he told his side of what went down.
