Comedian Rip Micheals has shared a health update with fans after canceling his recent show.
The ‘Wild ‘N Out’ cast member took to Instagram the evening of Tuesday, November 14. The 41-year-old shared a video with fans that showed him lying in a hospital gown and bed.
“I just wanted to let you know that I will not be making it to do the Apollo show,” Micheals told the camera. “I’m in the hospital, and I’m going to be postponing for a later date.”
Before concluding the video, Micheals thanked those who purchased tickets for the Apollo event. Furthermore, he assured fans that once he’s recovered and out of the hospital, they will have a “great show.”
Additionally, the comedian’s video post featured a caption which shared that the 41-year-old’s heart is “only functioning at 17 percent.” The comedian’s caption also explained that he is currently in the coronary care unit with “good people” in the “heart failure team.”
Ultimately, Micheals’ caption vocalized his and his family’s gratitude for the good wishes and prayers fans have sent his way.
“My deepest apologies to everyone who bought tickets to the live taping at Apollo! My heart since the attack is only functioning at 17 percent & i am currently in CCU with good ppl in heart failure team! I thank each every person for all the prayers & get well wishes & your understanding & my family does too!”
Social media users entered The Shade Room’s comment section to express their support for Micheals.
While Instagram user @yooohypemommy added, “Omgoodness. Lord heal him from head to toe in Jesus name. 🙏🏾”
Fellow ‘Wild ‘N Out’ cast member Justina Valentine wrote, “LOVE YOU RIPPY PRAYING FOR YOU!!!!!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️.”
“The fact that he wanted to get up here and publicly address the people that spent money to see him shows he is dedicated and appreciative of his supporters. Even though he didn’t have to do this, he obviously chose to. Prayers for his speedy recovery and healing.”
Nick Cannon, the creator and host of ‘Wild ‘N Out,’ also took the time to share uplifting words for his fellow comedian in the comment section of Micheals’s video post.
“You are a titan and force of nature, always have been, Take all the time you need and Rest strong King. We all collectively send you healing energy and prayers from the highest frequency of our souls. Standing in agreement for your speedy and full recovery my brother. Love you sincerely!”
Furthermore, Cannon also entered The Shade Room’s comment section to echo his direct sentiments to Micheals while joining the collective in prayer.
