Coi Leray is an active celebrity voice on social media. Whether she’s dancing on TikTok or sharing her thoughts on Twitter, Coi is often connected to the fans. This time the breakout artist took to Instagram to speak on mental health, money and new music.
On Mental Health, Money & Music
“Kind of been a rough year, even though I made millions, it came with a lot of depression,” Coi wrote on her Instagram Story.
She continued on to say that a track named ‘Medicine’ will be her last song of the year. But, Coi also made it clear that this song is “strictly” for the her supporters.
“When I go in the booth and bent, just know I’m speaking from the heart and I meant every word in the song, ” Coi wrote.
Then, the artist wished everyone reading her message a “great holiday” filled with “everything they ever dreamed of.” And in true Coi fashion, she wrapped her message with some manifestation for her future in music.
“This new year is going to be one of the biggest years of my life,” Coi wrote. “I feel it. My album is going to be one of the biggest female artist albums in the world. I can promise you that. Xoxo.”
Coi Defends Herself
As we should all know by now, Coi has no issues with outwardly expressing her confidence in her abilities. In July, Coi went viral following her ‘XXL Freshman Freestyle,’ but most of the chatter was criticism. She took time to blast the chit-chatter on her Instagram Story.
“You thought I was about to spit the hottest fire flame. Let me tell y’all something…I feel like, personally, I had the best “XXL” freestyle. Me and Lakeyah fa sho had the best “XXL” freestyle,” Coi said. “Especially my whole class of the cyphers. I haven’t even heard the cyphers, other cyphers yet. And I know we had the best cypher. Especially me.”
