A Seattle coffee shop owner, Emma Lee, recently took a hammer to the windshield of an unsatisfied customer.
The New York Post reports that the male client threw his beverages at Lee through the drive-thru window. He allegedly did so after complaining about the price of his order.
The customer’s anger stemmed from a 32-ounce coffee and water cost, totaling $22. It all went down at A Taste of Heaven Espresso on the south side. A surveillance video documented the chaotic interaction.
Emma said the customer had patronized the business before and previously complained about the prices. She stated that she told the man, “No one is forcing you to come here.”
The 23-year-old explained to FOX 13 that the man threw the iced coffee he had purchased at her. He then proceeded to threaten her. Lee said the man was “screaming, spitting and trying to pry open the window.” She said the crazed customer stated, “Nobody is going to miss you,” which made her feel “[feel] in danger.”
Lee phoned the po po and pressed misdemeanor assault charges against the man. However, he can likely take legal action for the cost of his busted windshield.
