Recently a Christmas Carol service was held, however when attendees looked down at their programs, they were greeted by the lyrics from a famous rap song.
According to Daily Mail, the lyrics to Tupac Shakur’s 1990’s hit “Hail Mary,” was printed on thousands of programs, opposed to the traditional prayer.
This took place at the Catholic 2016 Joy to the World Festival, which was held at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka.
Sri Lankan journalist Jitendra Antonio shared the photo of the program from the service, which was held as a “fund-raiser for poverty alleviation projects jointly organized by the Archdiocese of Colombo and St. Joseph Vaz Trust.”
