Last night, Billboard honored the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Ms. Mary J. Blige, the monumental “Icon” honor at The 2022 Billboard Awards. So it was only fitting that The Shade Room’s Buzy Baker played a game of “Finish The Lyric” with a select few celebrities who dropped in to chop it up with the reporter for red carpet interviews.
Past recipients of the Icon Award include Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Cher, Mariah Carey, Garth Brooks, P!NK, and Janet Jackson. Buzy Baker tested the MJB music knowledge of several stars at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand — like reggae star Shenseea, Chlöe, the adorable Combs Twins, and rapper French Montana — where Mary J. Blige was acknowledged as an “Icon” in the music industry.

Shenseea Attended The Billboard Awards With Her Son
In related news, Shenseea, 25, showed up to the 2022 Billboard Award with special date — her grade school son Rajeiro Lee. For the mommy-son date, they wore complementary outfits. Shenseea rocked a gold bustier with matching pants while her mini-me wore a gold accented pantsuit.
The “You’re The One I Love” singer later presented onstage at the ceremony, switching up her outfit. This time she wore a fun, feather gown with a dark mash up of colors.
