For everyone who screams Chipotle is life, you might want to mark your calendars! Chipotle will be shutting all of its stores for a “few hours” on Febuary 8th in an effort to prevent more issues with their food and its safety. The shut down day will serve as a meeting for all employees.
In the past couple of months, hundreds of people reported being sick after eating chipotle which brought to light the E.coli outbreak forcing locations around the country to shut down. People everywhere from New York, Ohio and California were affected, not including the 100 plus people in Boston.
News of the one-day shut down comes from the CEO of Chipotle saying that he takes full responsibility for the food disaster. He says that Chipotle is as safe as it’s ever been before, according to Refinery29. In the meantime, executives from Chipotle have been meeting with officials from the Centers for Disease Control to put an end to the outbreaks.
Roommates, are you going to trust Chipotle and start back eating there or was the breaking news enough to keep you away?
