Could Mo’Nique’s current treatment in the industry be karma for her past actions toward others? There’s one person who seems to think so. Former “Flavor of Love” and “Charm School” star Larissa Hodge, also known as “Bootz,” spoke out recently in an interview with Lacey Sculls’ podcast “Talk of Love” to spill some tea on Mo’Nique.
For those of you who may be too young to remember VH1’s reality TV golden era, several former contestants of Flavor Flav’s dating show went on to compete in another reality series called “Charm School” in which Mo’Nique was the host.
The two did appear to have tension on the reality show so it totally believable that the drama continued off camera.
While speaking with Lacey, Larissa explained her vendetta with Mo’Nique and how she felt the host talked down to her often while working on the show.
“Mo’Nique was so intense,” Larissa said.
During the interview, she also alleged that Mo’Nique blackballed her following her Oscar-win for “Precious.”
“There was a celebrity spa day thing event and I wanted to go and (her publicist said, ‘oh, we have a problem…Mo’Nique said if you go she’s not going,” Larissa said. “And because Mo’Nique was a bigger actress at the time, of course they’re going to pick her…so she basically blacklisted me.”
Larissa continued saying what’s happening to Mo’Nique now is “karma.”
“I think that that’s karma because you’ve been blacklisting people. It’s not just me, there’s people she’s done things to ’cause she thought because she won that Oscar, ‘Oh, I’m on top’ but no because God will always stop all those blessings because you do people dirty for no reason.”
It’s safe to say, Mo’Nique was not feeling what Larissa had to say as she responded, “Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves.
