Charlamagne Tha God is well-known for his viral and controversial opinions—and now he’s currently trending after sharing his picks for the Top Most Influential Rappers of All-Time…which has apparently angered a majority of Chief Keef fans. While most agreed with his picks of 2Pac, Kanye West, Jay Z and Lil Wayne, some were upset with Charlamagne Tha God because they believed he dissed the musical contributions of Chief Keef.
Charlamagne Tha God is one of the premiere voices in hip hop culture, giving his opinion on a variety of things in the community, including artists who he believes are the most influential…and Chicago rapper Chief Keef did not make the cut. Earlier this week, Charlamagne got real about his top choices for the most influential honor and after someone brought Chief Keef into the conversation, Charlamagne quickly shut them down and explained why the drill rapper doesn’t belong.
He explained the universal appeal of his top four artists, while saying that Chief Keef’s global influence is lacking:
“I’m not going to say the order number, but there’s four: Kanye [West], JAY-Z, Pac and Wayne. The four most influential rappers of all time.” “No, you know why I don’t put Chief Keef in there? Because Chief Keef didn’t influence the world, he influenced a sound of a region. Those four people I named literally influenced people all over the world.”
As of now, Chief Keef has not publicly responded to Charlamagne Tha God, but we’re sure that if he does, it will be trending in a matter of minutes.
