Roommates, Charlamagne Tha God is known for letting the jokes fly—and he didn’t spare his fellow co-host DJ Envy as he celebrated his birthday. In a special birthday post on Instagram, Charlamagne wished DJ Envy a happy birthday…and threw an abundance of hilarious shade his way in the process.
Charlamagne Tha God couldn’t let the day go by without wishing his friend and co-host DJ Envy a happy birthday—but his birthday shoutout is definitely not the traditional way to celebrate a close friend.
Posting to Instagram, Charlamagne wrote:
“Happy Bornday to the Lord of The Lightskin, Ruler of All Redbones, Boss of all Beiges, Grand Wizard of all Waffle Colored Negroes @djenvy send Al B Unsure some positive energy, love, and light on his day!!!”
This is another recent celebration for the two following the news late last month that their incredibly popular radio morning show “The Breakfast Club” was inducted into the Radio Hall Of Fame.
Reacting to the news, Charlamagne posted the following message:
“One day people will look back and give us respect for how we impacted the culture the past decade. All Praises and Glory Due To God and sincere Thanks and Gratitude to everyone who listens to us on the radio, via podcast, YouTube, however you consume your breakfast, THANK YOU for being a part of our club.”
DJ Envy also publicly acknowledged the honor, writing “We Made It!!!! 2020 Radio Hall of Fame Inductees!!! Thank You to all of you for riding with us.. @breakfastclubam.”
