Roommates, Charlamagne Tha God recently responded to the ongoing beef between him and actor LaKeith Stanfield, stating that LaKeith “can dish it, but can’t take it.” Charlamagne also said that LaKeith likes to play “victim” online to make people think that Charlamagne is always coming at him for no reason.
Last week, LaKeith Stanfield called Charlamagne Tha God out for criticizing his performance in the recent film “Judas And The Black Messiah,” while interviewing the film’s star, Daniel Kaluuya. During that interview, he said that LaKeith “was born to play the role” due to his character being an informant. LaKeith then posted and deleted a video of himself pointing a gun at Charlamagne’s picture—which was later deleted.
Fast forward to the present, and Charlamagne formally addressed the escalating situation with LaKeith during a recent episode of his popular syndicated radio morning show, “The Breakfast Club,” saying:
“What LaKeith does is he gets online and he plays the victim and he makes it seem like I’m always coming at him. But he does that all the time. When he made comments about Kamala’s hair last year and got backlash, he got online and said he can say what he wants and no one can force him into not saying what he wants. All good, but if you gon’ have that energy of saying what you want, don’t play victim when people say something back.”
As of now, LaKeith has yet to respond to Charlamagne’s latest comments—but given the issues between the two, he likely will at some point.
