Chance The Rapper and Kirsten Corley have revealed that they’ve decided to “part ways” after five years of marriage.
On Wednesday, April 3, Corley and the rapper both took to their Instagram Stories to share an identical post with fans. The post featured a beige background with black text.
Additionally, it revealed that the pair had been separated for a “period” and have now decided to “part ways.”
“After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways,” the message read. “We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.”
The message went on to explain that they have been “blessed with two beautiful daughters” and they will continue to raise them “together.”
“We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition,” the message added before concluding with a thank you from both Chance and Corley.
Social media users entered The Shade Room’s comment section to share their reactions to the couple’s split.
According to PEOPLE, Chance and Corley met at nine years old. Then, in July 2018, Chance popped the big question.
In 2019, the pair tied the knot in a ceremony at Newport Beach in California, per The Shade Room.
Since then, they’ve welcomed two daughters named Kensli and Marli.
However, in April 2023, multiple videos of Chance’s time at Jamaica’s carnival celebration went viral. The clips showed the rapper seemingly having the time of his life as different women gyrated on him.
Afterward, Corley took to social media to share a message about people who “don’t grow up.” Additionally, the mother of two shared that she “hopes one day, we all choose to grow up.”
