#Roommates, Halloween is only a few days away and that means that some of your favorite celebrities are already getting in on the festivities. Gabrielle Union recently held her Halloween-themed birthday party—and her and daughter Kaavia stole the show with their “Bring It On” tribute.
One of Gabrielle Union’s most famous roles is in the classic teen comedy “Bring It On,” where she played the captain of the fictional East Compton Clovers cheerleading squad, well she decided to throw it back and brought her daughter along for the ride. Since her 47th birthday is just a few days before Halloween, she held a costume party where she and Kaavia wore matching East Compton Clover uniforms.
However, there was an additional twist to the party, as it was also California-themed, paying tribute and showing tons of California love. Guests such as Tracee Ellis Ross (who dressed up as west coast legend DJ Quik) and Jeannie Mai, in costume as west coast resident Kehlani, stayed true to the theme.
Gabrielle’s husband Dwyane Wade dressed up as a member of the California-based Black Panther Party and her cousin, rapper Saweetie performed her song “My Type” and also wore a matching Clovers uniform. Other guests in attendance included, Snoop Dogg, E-40 and Too Short.
With all the remakes and reboots going around Hollywood we know one thing’s for sure, Gabrielle could definitely recreate her role and look like absolutely no time has passed.
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
