Roommates, as more Americans continue to become fully vaccinated, the Centers For Disease Control has now recently updated its mask-wearing guidelines that many are sure to be happy about. According to the CDC, those who are now fully vaccinated do not have to wear a mask while outside unless there is a large crowd.
As nationwide vaccine numbers continue to rise, the Centers for Disease Control has officially eased its guidelines regarding masks requirements. The health organization now says that if you are one of the millions who are currently fully vaccinated, you don’t need to wear a mask outdoors unless there is a large group of people. Additionally, those who are not vaccinated can also go outside without masks in certain situations as well.
The updated CDC guidelines is the latest efforts to restore normalcy in the U.S. following the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 that has currently taken the lives of over 570,000 people in United States alone.
Following the announcement of the updated guidelines, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky released a video discussing the changes.
“Today, I hope, is a day when we can take another step back to the normalcy of before. Over the past year, we have spent a lot of time telling Americans what you can’t do. Today, I am going to tell you some of the things you can do, if you are fully vaccinated,” she said.
