Let Lil Wayne tell it, the whole Young Money got screwed over by Baby and his cash money schemes!
According to TMZ, Weezy is now claiming that he has proof that Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Tyga all got stiffed out of money due to Baby not paying up his proper fees. In his lawsuit, he says that he has letters from all three rappers that state that they have lost a fortune dealing with YMCMB.
In Nicki’s letter, her people are saying that her producers weren’t properly paid for their services and Wayne blames it on Baby because Cash Money allegedly is supposed to be responsible for paying out producers.
And the failed money train doesn’t end there! Wayne is also saying that he was supposed to receive a large amount out of a $100 million advance from Universal. Unfortunately, the cash went to Cash Money and let’s just say it hasn’t been seen since.
Well Cash Money is saying Lil Wayne isn’t telling the whole truth about the Universal check!
They fired back saying they gave him a $20 million advance for Young Money in 2012 as well as $12 million for his solo album and then another $70 million on top of that for things varying from royalties, marketing,recording, and other advances. Bringing the total to a whopping $102 million!
They also say Lil Wayne hasn’t been holding up his end of the deal with Cash Money and shouldn’t be so quick to point fingers! This is because they claim that he was supposed to give 21 albums over 7 years from his artists and he has only delivered 13.
We all knew it was just a matter of time before the rap trio would be pulled into this mess but now it just makes the situation that much stickier! We thought that there would have been a possible resolution on site after we saw Baby posting pictures via Instagram looking like he wanted to go down memory lane and wishing Lil Wayne a happy birthday!
