Don’t try it! If someone comes for Candace Owens, they better be prepared for a response. The controversial republican clapped back at a commenter on Twitter who said she should be sued, following George Floyd’s family speaking out against her and Ye. This comes after his offensive comments about George’s death during his recent appearance on ‘Drink Champs.’ Candace reposted Rolling Stone’s article sharing the news writing, “George Floyd’s family didn’t even stop by his house to collect his belongings. They left his car and personal items abandoned in his house. Now they’re mad my documentary TELLS THE TRUTH about the fatal levels of fentanyl discovered in Floyd’s autopsy.”
She then clapped back at a commenter who said she should be sued. If you recall, during the episode of ‘Drink Champs,’ Ye falsely said George’s death was caused by the deadly drug fentanyl, backing up the claim by citing Candace’s documentary he saw last week. The rapper said, “I watched the George Floyd documentary that Candace Owens put out,” he told hosts N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN. “One of the things that his two roommates said was they want a tall guy like me, and the day that he died, he said a prayer for eight minutes. They hit him with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that.”
As we previously reported, Lee Merritt, the Floyd family’s attorney, said the family feels “betrayed” by Kanye West’s false claims. “I anticipate by the end of the week, we’ll at least have an idea of what claims are viable and what parties might be involved,” Lee says. “At that time, the decision will be made whether or not to [pursue] trial litigation.”
Roommates, we’ll keep you posted on the next steps!
