The Black boss of ‘trad-wife’ TikTok influencer Lilly Gaddis is speaking out.
According to the Daily Mail, the company that represented Lilly — named Rophe — denounced the TikToker’s use of the n-word.
As mentioned, the North Carolina-based company is owned by a Black woman. It released a statement, saying Gaddis’ “inflammatory remarks on social media do not align with the values and beliefs of our company.”
Furthermore, the statement read that Rophe is “committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful work environment where all individuals are valued and respected.”
Sis said, ‘not on my watch!’
The influencer posted a video where she was going off on minorities, feminists, and the LGBTQ+ community and even dropped the n-word. She said the phrase “broke a** n*****.” Gaddis was subsequently fired for her flippant speech.
After Lilly faced backlash, she went on InfoWard and tried to claim her racist comments were free speech. Additionally, Lilly posted an update saying she got fired, and her X, formerly known as Twitter, account was temporarily suspended.
Under The Shade Room’s report of Gaddis’ firing, commenters showed no love for her callous words.
@thatred_guy stated, “Becky, freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences.”
Some Roommates wanted to catch a fade.
@therealbeyli stated, “couldn’t find care ? girl come outside.”
Meanwhile, Gaddis has since continued to use the n-word on her X account.
The leader of Rophe hit the nail on the head — diversity and inclusion matter.
Supporters of Gaddis’ rhetoric will likely lift her up on social media, and the foolery will continue, but she may find that her colorful language doesn’t align with violent racists. Orrrr she could be down…we’ll have to wait and see.
