It’s looking like Burger King is trying to step their game up and surpass the other fast food chain! First McDonalds started serving breakfast all day then Wendy’s started their “4 for $4” deal and now Burger King will add hot dogs to their menu! Yes you read it right and their Miami-based chains will start selling them on February 23rd.
Alex Macedo, president of Burger King North America said, “This is probably the most obvious product launch ever.” Burger King says their ability to flame-grill meat makes hot-dogs a perfect fit for their menu.
Burger King enlisted Snoop Dogg as one of the celebrities to star in the training videos to excite the workers. The videos were initially private, but were recorded by reporters for marketing purposes.
Burger King’s “Grilled Dogs” will come in two varieties the first being the classic hot dog topped with ketchup, mustard, onions and relish at 310 calories, and the chili cheese version at 330 calories.The hot dogs will be provided by Kraft Heinz, which owns Oscar Mayer. Investment firm 3G Capital manages both Restaurant Brands and Kraft Heinz.
