Tekashi 69 continues to be a topic of discussion on social media. Whether good or bad, you love him or hate him, it seems like every day he posts something shock-worthy to grab attention. Earlier today, he shared a vulnerable side of himself with his fans by revealing he left social media and music for six months after gaining a substantial amount of weight. We’re all human and know weight is a sensitive topic, but no one could have expected this from Tekashi, who seems to be fearless.
Many Roommates and public figures commented on the initial post we shared about Tekashi’s weight loss journey. BRS Kash stepped into The Shade Room and asked a question about the “Za Za” rapper, “The King Of New York Though?” That seemed to set Tekashi off, and he wasted no time clapping back, commenting, “You are a one-hit-wonder. Please have a seat.” It is undeniable that his song “Throat Baby,” which is RIAA certified gold, is a huge hit. Kash fired back, seeming unbothered by Tekashi’s claim, he responded, “So you telling me you’re over Biggie and JayZ? Is my question.”
Fans of the rapper easily sided with Kash about him having the better music out of the two. One commented, “Throat baby better than all 69 songs, though.” Another one commented, “When was the last time you heard somebody say put on some Tekashi?” Tekashi has been defending his actions as he sees fit, and commenting on The Shade Room is one thing you can continue to expect. He responded, ”Everybody tough on the internet … ya make an excuse for every rapper… I have been talking crazy to everybody since 2018, still untouched .. Ya’ll gonna say, “ You hide behind security, “ But if something happens to me, YALL gonna say, “AS THEY SHOULD!” Lol, make up ya mind miserable people.”
As a new rapper in the game that fans are getting used to, Kash seemed to clear the air, essentially saying that his question is a question and that it wasn’t anything to be mad or beef over. Roommates, do you think the back and forth was necessary?
