Verzuz battles are supposed to be about friendly competition and appreciation for music over the years, which is why fans are asking Bow Wow to step in the ring and give us some hits from our childhoods! Unfortunately, Bow says she doesn’t want to battle, and he has plenty of reasons why.
While responding to fans on Twitter, Bow explains that he doesn’t feel he’s in the right place to battle anybody because he’s still out here grinding with his craft! He does, however, name one celeb he wanted to get on Verzuz TV with–Fabolous.
“I come from an era where…if you a legend…you a legend,” he replies to a fan who gives him the title. “No need to remind folks. I’m only 33 I got more work to do. A Verzuz for me right now makes no sense.”
Despite not seeing how doing a battle would be good for him right now, he does make it clear that he had Fab on his list of celebs to go hit-for-hit with.
“I wanted Fab, but he did it already,” he says. “[That’s] why I’m saying theres no one to battle. I[m not being cocky at all I don’t want that taken out of context.”
Bow also went on to speak about some of the artists he thought would make great match-ups, and some that didn’t quite fit based on suggestions from his fans on Twitter. He doesn’t really agree with Soulja Boy as a suggestion, but says he things the idea of he and Omarion teaming up against another duo is dope!
