Boosie has dropped some major news on his fans. The rapper announced the dismissal of his federal gun charge.
Roommates if you recall, Boosie was arrested In June 2023 after federal agents used footage from his Instagram Live video. Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that authorities claimed he had a firearm tucked into his waistband in a video posted in May.
On Friday (July 12), Boosie, formerly known as Torence Hatch, responded to the dismissal with an emotional Instagram video and message. The video sees the Baton Rouge native crying and later saying, “It’s over with!”
In the post’s caption, the Louisiana musician thanked God for helping him overcome everything. He also expressed gratitude to his fans and gave a shoutout to his attorneys.

XXL reports that court reporter Meghann Cuniff posted a photo of the ‘Wipe Me Down’ artist and his attorney Meghan Blanco outside a San Diego courtroom on X (formerly Twitter).
The outlet reported that Blanco informed courthouse reporters that she was happy about the news.
“I am so thrilled for Mr. Hatch. He can finally put this saga behind him go back to doing what he does best —taking care of the people he loves and making music.”
Boosie celebrated the news further in another Instagram video, expressing his happiness about the development.
“I’m at a loss for words right now, man. I’m gonna take me a trip cross country, bro. Got to about three different countries. God good, boy. He’ll make a way out of no way. That ni**a love me, bro,” Boosie says in the clip.
