Nicki Minaj, Cardi B Respond To PnB Rock’s Tragic Death
Others in the rap game have taken their own stances on Rocks death.
Nicki Minaj tweeted that “after Pop Smoke there’s no way we as rappers or our loved ones are still posting locations to our whereabouts,” in reference to Pop Smoke, a rapper who similarly was shot dead after several armed men located him following a social media post showing of a luggage bag containing an address he had been staying at in Los Angeles.
Minaj added “he was such a pleasure to work with.”
After Pop Smoke there’s no way we as rappers or our loved ones are still posting locations to our whereabouts. To show waffles & some fried chicken????! He was such a pleasure to work with. Condolences to his mom & family. This makes me feel so sick. Jesus. #SIP #PnbRock 🕊

Slain Rapper’s Final Video Showed Him Flashing Expensive Jewelry, Designer Clothing
Cardi B came to the girlfriends defense, saying she “highly doubted” his opps “was looking at (his) babymom IG,” and chalked it up to being at a dangerous location where people “stay outside plotting.”
“I highly doubt n****s was looking at PMB’s babymom IG. He was in a bad location and people stay outside plotting. It’s very irresponsible and inconsiderate to blame her for something so tragic. We should be sending nothing but love to her and his family at this time.”
In PnB Rock’s last video, since-deleted, was posted before he was shot dead in the armed robbery, he could be seen flashing expensive jewelry and massive diamond chains while wearing a Louis Vuitton sweatshirt.
He had even revealed in an interview before his death that he had been the target of several armed robberies leading up to his passing.
