Bobby Shmurda will be taking his chances during trial after he reportedly turned down a plea deal.
According to Complex, the rapper as well as other GS9 group members stood in front of a judge in a Manhattan Supreme Court this morning for a preliminary hearing.
During the hearing, prosecutors offered Bobby a deal of eight years for his role in being the ringleader behind the various drugs and weapons charges that he and his crew faces. His partner Rowdy Rebel was also offered a deal of seven years.
Both defense attorneys have turned down their plea deals and will await trial which starts October 5. If convicted he can face up to 25 years to life.
This news also came with the announcement that Bobby also had recently been in trouble at the jail. Allegedly, he was caught receiving a metal sharp object from another inmate.
Bobby of course denies this incident took place in the way the prosecutors are depicting.
There will also be a hearing on August 19 where the courts will determine if Bobby Schmurda should be tried separately from his crew.
We will keep you updating as more info pours in. Let’s chat below, would you have taken the deal?
