Bobby Shmurda Opens Up To His Fans

On Sunday (June 1), Bobby updated his fans on Instagram regarding new music. Fans have been repeatedly begging the rapper to drop some new tracks since he was released from prison in February 2021.

However, in an Instagram caption, Bobby expressed his belief that streaming services will not promote his music because he refuses to alter his appearance and paint his nails.

“Stop asking me to drop music American DSP and music blogs which they owned as well don’t allow real Bodman on playlists because I don’t paint my fingers so it’s pointless so until something is done with the people who own, runs and manages these platforms,” Bobby wrote.

Social Media Reacts To Bobby’s Statement

The Roomies immediately reacted to Bobby’s statement in The Shade Room comment section. Several social media users agreed with his point of view and respected his stance.

Instagram user @divinequeenofalltrades_ wrote, “He gave yall a whole message about the industry & media & yall missed it.”

Instagram user @therealfatdanny wrote, “Pay attention yall, music industry is trying to popularize feminizing men and he’s saying he’s not with it.”

@mocha313 added, “Ain’t nothing go over nobody heads 😂😂😂 people know what he saying and we all listen to music by male artist who ain’t doing that and still have shows/fans/and music dropping. He just using this as an excuse for his joints NOT doing numbers. He had that hit then went to jail and the momentum was lost. Same people acting like we missing the messages we the same ones talking about how he was moving when he first got out on his “black boy joy” tip.”

While Instagram user @hailyeahtv wrote, “Kanye tried to tell us. Katt Williams tried to tell us!! When yall gone wake TF up damn !”

Then Instagram user @theimaninahje wrote, “Basically he not gonna fit into hollyweird’s agenda.”

@kdnthadon said, “I hear him, but there are plenty of rappers thriving without it on all different types of levels … Future Baby Gunna Boogie, etc.”

Instagram user @_ddotc wrote, “He’s actually making a good point. Respect his stance.”

Instagram user @prettynitti_villain wrote, “This is why I’m still listening to music I grew up on, I can’t even tell you who’s the hottest out now I’m good.”

More On Shmurda’s Music

This isn’t the first time Bobby Shmurda has shared his thoughts on music. In 2022, the ‘Hot Boy’ musician claimed he no longer wanted to be associated with the “rapper” label.

He made his comment during an Instagram Live in December 2022. He outright stated, “I don’t want to be named as a rapper anymore.”

Shmurda further elaborated by saying that rapping gets people in unfortunate predicaments too often. He used Tory Lanez as an example, who is currently serving time in prison for shooting and injuring Megan Thee Stallion.

“It’s like when you do that rapper s**t, n***as try to come for that light. It’s just nasty, like these labels is nasty. Look at what they just did to Tory. That s**t is nasty, my n***a. That s**t is nasty.”
